Uh oh! Paragon is joining the blog world. If this surprises you, well it is a surprise to us as well. We are fairly techy and “up” with things, but when it comes to online communities…well, we’re like a backwoods hermit stumbling out of the woods to find a town has grown up where peace and quiet once reigned. Everyone is blah-blah-blogging.

But, if you can’t beat ‘em, join em.

However, if we are going to blog, it must be useful. What kind of blog is useful? Why, a Paragon blog, of course. The name Paragon means “a model of excellence,” and that is our aim in all our efforts. So our goal will be to deliver concise, friendly, helpful articles And of course, We’re going to shamelessly promote Paragon and the way we do the business of serving landscape clients!

Each article will contain three sections, titled Beauty, Info, and Propaganda, and they each have a purpose. Imagine that.

The first section of each blog will be titled Beauty, and our intention is to point to the amazing details of the beauty around us (drags out the soap box). Life is busy, and we move so fast from one thing to the next, that remarkable things happen all around us and we don’t notice (waves fist in the air and points accusingly). Our surroundings are intricately designed, and exceptionally beautiful, if we can just open our eyes to see (thumps Bible). So we are determined to put some aspect of Beauty in front of the reader with each blog. At Paragon, we call these beautiful little details “Joy In Return.”

Some folks invest their money in the stock market, and then try to measure the Return On Investment (ROI) based on what the electronic numbers are saying today. Yikes! We happen to believe that buying real things, like plants and patios, is an investment, too. And a worthy one, at that. Research shows that it will bring returns by adding value to your home. But the greatest return is in the form of Joy. It can return Joy each day you see it, each time you look at the beauty of a plant, or each time you appreciate the beauty of a well-designed outdoor living space. So that’s our goal. ROI-Joy! We want to turn your head to see the beauty around us.

The purpose of the second section, Info, is easier to describe. There is always something bad going on in the landscape. Bad things rob Joy, and reduce your ROI. We want you to be successful in planning, implementing, and taking care of your landscape, so we will highlight a point of interest or concern in the landscape environment, and offer solutions! This will help you plan, carry out, and maintain success in your landscape endeavors. And if you need help with a current problem or landscape need, we’ll be glad to be the solution.

The final section is pure Propaganda. We are a business based on the Core Values of Trust, Respect, Fairness, a Mentoring Atmosphere, and a desire to be the best Environmental Service Team we can be. We invest in our people, and have a team of well-educated staff who love what they do. (link to “our team” section). This makes Paragon a great place to work, and a great company to hire (in our humble opinion…but see for yourself!).
